The World Championship of Chinese Cuisine (WCCC), regarded as ‘The Olympic of Chinese Cuisine’, is the paramount of Chinese-style cooking competitions. Organised by the World Association of Chinese Cuisine (WACC) in selected countries once every 4 years, the championship invites players and teams from Chinese cuisine restaurants from around the world. In 2016, the 8h edition will be held in Netherlands for the first time. 48 teams from around the world consisting of around 200 chefs are expected to participate, including Singapore, China, Malaysia, Taiwan, Japan, Netherlands, France, Spain and Korea. The event took place in Rotterdam Ahoy from 19-21 September 2016 during the exhibition Gastvrij Rotterdam. Evanement! took care of the project management for the local organisation.
